Welcome! Mykus are poetic conversations: four line thoughts and responses with interesting rhymes and rhythms. People world-wide use this folk-art to discover their innermost thoughts – and then to connect with others. Mykus are written by myku masters and beginners, so feel free to jump in.

MYKU World is a social networking site with something added. It’s built with profiles, search and group functions and it offers places to write poems. MYKU World celebrates the universal human desire for self expression. We ask you to honor the dignity of others.

MYKU History and Lore….

Before the internet, email, and computers, a busy college student began writing four line poems. This was all he had time to do. Haiku, with a twist, he called it Myku. Years later, he emailed a myku to a friend and received a response in the form of a myku! Back and forth it went, with others joining in along the way. These friends discovered that they communicated about things they would not normally discuss, so they kept on. Unfortunately, keeping track of notable mykus proved frustrating. They decided to build MYKU World, to allow them to write, read and store Myku conversations. Welcome to Myku World!

To Read Mykus...

It’s 2 clicks: Course over to an island, click on a point or circle.
Now click on a picture to reveal a MYKU Board.
You’ll be on a board that looks like this. means profile. means edit. This shows only on your mykus. Click to edit your myku. means comment. Use this to write a quick comment on a myku.
Click on any profile icon to;
Read someone’s favorites or latest. Check out their friends. Click a friend’s picture, and so on. You could also “search” by user name or key words.

To Write Mykus...
